MSD Tour

Take a Tour of Asheville’s MSD Plant!MSD Plant

Understand the wastewater process

How does the wastewater leaving your home become reincorporated back into the water of the natural water cycle? Take a tour of MSD and see for yourself.
The tour is available to anyone over the age of eleven. Groups can include but not limited to: school groups, scout troops, clubs, extracurricular groups, interested adults and the general public who wish to become more acquainted with the dynamics of, processes behind, and impacts associated with the local urban water cycle. The tour follows your water from your house to its journey back to the French Broad River through Asheville’s wastewater infrastructure. Participants will meet at the MSD facility at 2028 Riverside Drive in Woodfin.

The tour is free of cost and reservations are a must. Contact Roger Edwards, Operations Manager at MSD of Buncombe County for tour reservations.
