RiverLink’s 10th Annual Voices of the River Art and Poetry Contest

Connect to your watershed through art!

The Voices of the River Art and Poetry Contest is open to preK-12 grade students and provides a unique way to connect to the French Broad River Watershed through art and writing. Local artists, RiverLink staff, and volunteers judge the art.

2017 Art and Poetry Contest Details

Theme: How are you connected to your watershed?

The awards ceremony will be at 10:30 am Saturday, April 22, 2017 at RiverLink’s Earth Day Kid’s Festival at the Salvage Station. Winning submissions and staff picks will be on display and there will be entertainment from 9 am – 2 pm. All family, friends, and teachers of the students participating are welcome and encouraged to attend this fun, free, family-friendly event!

After the Earth Day Kid’s Festival, businesses in the French Broad River Watershed will display submissions. Click here to find your art or poetry! *Please note that all 3D artwork is on display at the Warehouse Studios, regardless of school.

Local artists and writers award prizes to students of each age group based on originality, connection to the theme, design and composition, and skill. This year’s judges are:
