Protecting and Restoring Flows in Our Southeastern Rivers

River Network is excited to announce the release of our new report: Protecting and Restoring Flows in Our Southeastern Rivers: A Synthesis of State Policies for Water Security and Sustainability.

rn16006-sewaterreport-cover-finalTo address the range of threats to river flows in the southeast, this report covers a comprehensive set of policies starting with the scientific foundations of water budgets and moves to supply management and flow protection and then demand management and finally the management of the built environment.

The report synthesizes the status of these policies in five Southeastern states – Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee – and offers recommendations and models for how these policies can be strengthened.
