River Cane Work Day

Work with us to maintain this protected space for river cane by removing invasive species. Building on the work we started last year, we will be removing competing non-native species from a patch of native river cane growing alongside the French Broad River right here in the River Arts District.

We will meet at the public parking lot at 8 River Arts Pl., Asheville, NC 28801 at 10am. From there, it is a short walk along the greenway to the river cane stand.

RiverLink will provide all necessary tools and equipment. Closed-toed shoes are required and long sleeves and pants are highly recommended. We also recommend everyone bring a water bottle.

Please contact volunteer@riverlink.org if you have any questions.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Please note that all volunteer events are weather dependent. Our staff will send out an email a day in advance if we need to cancel the event due to weather.
