Sandra Villasenor

AmeriCorps Watershed Coordinator
Sandra grew up in Apex, a small town in Wake County, and later moved to Raleigh for undergraduate school. She attended Meredith college and pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a sociology minor. During her time at Meredith, Sandra found her true calling in environmental work and conservation, leading to conducting research in Costa Rica on insectivorous bats and Puerto Rico on bee populations. Sandra also has experience working with diverse communities, serving as youth coordinator where she engaged Latino/Hispanic youth to serve in community projects.
Overall, Sandra is excited to serve as RiverLink’s Watershed Coordinator and dedicate her time and energy to contributing to Asheville’s watershed conservation efforts. In her downtime, Sandra enjoys reading, cooking, painting, crocheting, and listening to music!
