RiverCamp
Splash into the River this Summer!
French Broad River Camp seeks to educate and empower the next generation of watershed stewards by providing meaningful opportunities for river and watershed exploration. Guided by experienced RiverLink educators, campers engage in hands-on environmental education and river-based recreation. By the end of the week, campers leave with a deeper understanding of—and connection to—their local watershed.
Throughout the week, campers explore waterfalls, national forests, lakes, swimming holes, and more. They learn about local rivers and ecosystems through science experiments, guided tours, and exciting trips on the river. Each day balances learning, adventure, and fun in a supportive outdoor environment.

Why RiverLink?
For nearly two decades, RiverLink has been connecting young people to the French Broad River through hands-on, place-based environmental education. Our RiverCamp is led by a highly experienced team of educators with backgrounds and certifications in environmental science, environmental education, aquatic ecology, and river restoration.
In addition to scientific learning, RiverLink centers social and emotional learning and trauma-informed practices in all of our youth programming. Our staff are trained to create inclusive, supportive environments where campers feel safe to explore, ask questions, build confidence, and deepen their connection to the river and to one another.
