Anala St. Germain

Out of School Education Coordinator
Anala St. Germain was born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina, where they spent much of their childhood exploring the rivers and mountains of Western North Carolina and developing a deep love for the region’s plants, animals, and natural spaces. That connection to the land led them to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Education at Warren Wilson College.
Beginning her college experience during a global pandemic and concluding it amid the impacts of Hurricane Helene, Anala became increasingly driven to engage in community-based environmental work. This commitment brought her to RiverLink through the AmeriCorps program, where she now serves as the Out-of-School Coordinator, educating local youth about the French Broad River watershed and how we can protect it for future generations.
Outside of her job, Anala enjoys spending time with her dog, Honeyboy, working with horses, hiking, making art, and continuing to deepen her knowledge of native plants and wildlife. She is passionate about learning from the natural world and hopes to inspire others to build meaningful connections to their environment.
