Lisa Raleigh

Dr. Lisa Raleigh, a geologist and hydrologist by training, also brings decades of experience in nonprofit leadership, marketing, and fundraising—including more than ten years as Director of Advancement at the Colorado Rocky Mountain School. Her career bridges science and storytelling, uniting communities around shared goals of environmental stewardship, flood resilience, and economic sustainability, particularly in our post-Helene world. She and her husband, Duane, raised their daughters, Sunni and Belle—both born in Cambodia—in the mountains of Colorado, instilling in them the spirit of adventure and curiosity that continues to guide Lisa’s work and life. Lisa is delighted to call Western North Carolina home and continues to marvel at its wonders, beauty, and strong sense of community.
