Volunteer Opportunity on Saturday, October 2nd from 10am-12pm!

We need your help to maintain stormwater features along Craven Street, outside of New Belgium Brewery. These features do a great job of controlling floods, filtering water, and providing lots of habitat. Signup here if you can come help us keep this riverside area beautiful and clean, space is limited to 15 volunteers. Snacks are provided. There will also be a token of our appreciation for each volunteer provided by New Belgium!

The Craven Street Improvement Project was completed in 2017 and included numerous improvements to Craven Street’s ability to capture and treat stormwater runoff before it enters the French Broad River. 

Now we need help to maintain these features, primarily by removing invasive species and any litter we find. Volunteers should come prepared with closed-toed shoes and a water bottle. Sunscreen and bug spray are also recommended, as well as clothes you don’t mind getting dirty!
