The French Broad sees its fair share of trash. In an effort to combat this, we are partnering with the Oakley Neighborhood Association to host a river cleanup along the Swannanoa River, a major tributary of the French Broad. The section we will work on runs through a highly urban area where a great deal of trash enters the river. Come join us as we work to remove some of the trash that is polluting our waterways!

We will primarily be walking along the stream, but if you have a boat you would like to use you are welcome to bring it. We anticipate the water will be shallow enough to walk.
Closed-toed water shoes are recommended. We also recommend bringing water and sunscreen! We recommend that children be 12 or older.
