Leeah Sutton
She/Her
AmeriCorps Education Coordinator
As a first-generation college student, Leeah graduated with honors from East Tennessee State University with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Environmental Health. She has conducted undergraduate research on Roan Mountain, interned with the University of Tennessee’s Extension Program, and served with AmeriCorps’ American Conservation Experience.
The Appalachian mountains have been the backdrop to Leeah’s life, so she couldn’t imagine a better place to serve or a better community to be a part of. She is extremely grateful for the opportunity to return for a second year as an environmental educator in the French Broad River watershed. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking, cooking, volleyball, and reading.
